Introduction
Fluid ("the App") is operated by Fluid Daily ("we," "us," or "our"). Our website is fluiddaily.com and our iOS app is identified by the bundle ID com.fluiddaily.app.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have regarding your data. This policy applies to all users of the Fluid iOS application.
Data We Collect
a. Information You Provide Directly
When you set up and use Fluid, you may provide the following information during onboarding and through app settings:
Name — Your first name, entered during onboarding
Email and password — Only if you choose to create an account
Gender and age range
Flexibility level
Sitting time and stretch frequency
Pain points — Such as lower back, neck, or shoulders
Health conditions — Such as arthritis, pregnancy, sciatica, or recent surgery
Focus areas — Body parts you want to target
Goals — Such as reducing pain, improving flexibility, or building a habit
Preferred stretch duration
b. Data Generated Through App Usage
As you use the App, the following data is created and stored:Session history, including routines completed, duration, individual stretches
completed, and completion status
Scheduled sessions and streak data
Custom routines you create
Your Fluid Score, calculated from consistency, streaks, and stretching volume
App settings such as rest mode and transition time preferences
Favorited stretches and routines, and milestone achievements
Notification preferences (stored locally on your device)
c. Data Collected Automatically
We collect certain data automatically when you use the App:Device information and app lifecycle events — Collected via PostHog analytics to help us understand how the App is used
Touch interaction analytics — Collected via PostHog autocapture to improve user experience
Attribution and install conversion data — Collected via AppsFlyer to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
Advertising identifier (IDFA) — Collected only with your explicit consent via
Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:To personalize stretch recommendations and routines based on your profile,goals, pain points, and health conditions
To track your progress, including your Fluid Score, streaks, and session history
To schedule and deliver local notifications such as session reminders and streak risk alerts
To process and manage your Fluid Premium subscription
To improve the App through product analytics (PostHog)
To measure marketing campaign effectiveness (AppsFlyer)
To deliver personalized advertising, only with your consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework
4. Third-Party Services
Fluid uses the following third-party services to operate. Each service receives only the data necessary for its function.
Supabase provides authentication and database storage. It hosts user profiles, session data, and routines. You can read their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
RevenueCat handles subscription management and payment processing for Fluid Premium. You can read their privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
PostHog provides product analytics, including event tracking and feature flags. Data is sent to a US-hosted PostHog instance. You can read their privacy policy at posthog.com/privacy.

Data Storage & Security
We take the security of your data seriously and use industry-standard measures to protect it:
Cloud storage — User data (profiles, session history, routines, scores) is stored in Supabase, a cloud-hosted PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest and in transit.
On-device secure storage — Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using Expo SecureStore, which leverages the iOS Keychain.
Local storage — Notification preferences and certain app caches are stored locally on your device via AsyncStorage.
While we employ commercially reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
Tracking & Advertising Transparency
We respect your choices regarding ad tracking and comply with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework:
The Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is accessed only if you grant permission when prompted.
The ATT prompt states: "This identifier will be used to deliver personalized ads to you."
If you decline tracking, we do not access or use the IDFA, and no data is shared with advertising networks for personalized ad targeting.
You can change your tracking permission at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the service.
Upon account deletion (available via Settings > Account > Delete Account within the App), all personal data associated with your account is permanently removed from our servers. This includes your profile, session history, custom routines, Fluid Score, and any other personally identifiable data.
Anonymous, aggregated, and de-identified usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes, as it cannot be used to identify you.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access, correct, or delete your personal data
Delete your account entirely from within the App (Settings > Account > Delete Account)
Opt out of ad tracking via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt
Manage notification preferences within the App
European Economic Area Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to:Request portability of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format
Restrict the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances
Object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing or on the basis of legitimate interests
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence

Children's Privacy
Fluid is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as promptly as possible. Sensitive Data Notice: We treat your health-related information with extra care.
Fluid collects health-related data including pain points (such as lower back, neck, and shoulder pain), health conditions (such as arthritis, pregnancy, sciatica, and recent surgery), and flexibility assessments. We recognize that this data is sensitive in nature.
This health-related data is used exclusively to customize your stretching experience—selecting appropriate routines, filtering out contraindicated stretches, and personalizing recommendations for your body and goals.
We never sell, rent, or share your health-related data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to providing you with the Fluid service. Health-related data is not transmitted to any analytics or advertising platforms.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and notify you through the App or by other appropriate means.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of Fluid after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
